Hubbard Street’s Summer Intensives offer four distinct journeys of growth, discovery, and community. Teen dancers (ages 13–17) and adult dancers (ages 18–30) each have two unique program options, focused on either core curriculum and the creation of new works or the exploration of a broad curriculum and repertory. Whether your path leads you to one program or both, we look forward to getting to know you as an artist and as a human.

CREATE

In the CREATE (ages 18-30) and TEEN CREATE (ages 13-17) programs, dancers are immersed in technique classes and the creation process of new works and supportive community, emulating what it's like to be part of a professional company. These works are choreographed by Guest Choreographers on the leading edge of contemporary dance, Hubbard Street Company Dancers, and Choreographic Fellows (new for CREATE).

EXPLORE

In the EXPLORE (ages 18-30) and TEEN EXPLORE (ages 13-17) programs, dancers are stretched to deepen their artistry with a diverse array of dance styles and techniques, such as Tap, Graham, Limón, Vogue, House, Ballroom, Countertechnique, West African Dance, Spanish Dances, and more. In addition to classes, students learn challenging Hubbard Street repertory from the current season directly from the Company Dancers and Artistic Leadership.
