#WhyIDance

As we continue the holiday season, we have a lot to be thankful for, including dance! We asked our Youth Dance Program students why they dance and we loved their answers!

Our Youth Dance Program is still enrolling for classes, and we’ve got a variety of class offerings available including introductory classes like Beginner Tap, Introduction to Jazz, Introduction to Modern, and Beginner Musical Theatre in addition to new 8-week sessions of Early Childhood Dance classes for children ages 18 months – 5 years.

Why I Dance:

-I dance because it helps me escape the real world and when I perform it’s like I’m not even there. I go somewhere else when I dance.

-I dance because it is SUPER FUN and a great way to express yourself.

- I dance because it makes me… ME! I feel like I can do anything. I feel like I can fly!

- I dance because it helps me get out my emotions.

-I dance because I want to become an inspiration to other people.

- I dance because when I feel the beat I feel alive.

-I dance because I feel like when you dance you feel like a special person.

-I dance because I love being physically and mentally challenged.

-I dance because we learn and have fun with all of our friends!

-I dance because I can tell a story.

-I dance because it is a way for me to cope.

-I dance because it allows me to speak a universal language.

-I dance because dancing is speaking without words. It allows you to express when words don’t come together.

- I dance because it brings me out of my shell.

-I dance because dancing brings me joy!

- I dance because no one is judging me and I can do what I want to do.

-I dance because dance will never let me down.

- I dance because I love the challenge!

-I dance to create awesomeness.
