Calling young dance artists! For new and experienced movers, Dance Explorers Camp encourages energetic students to discover their creative voice and perform together! Campers will have time outside daily as well as theme specific crafts, in addition to dance classes.

Musical Theater
June 17–21
Young dancers have the most amazing imaginations! Through acting and dancing, students embody a variety of characters from Broadway musicals, develop confidence and stage presence, and explore the unique style of dance used in the theater world.

Dancing Stories
June 24–28
Students will bring stories to life as they learn adapted excerpts of traditional story ballets. Explore the foundations of traditional ballet technique through the lens of classical favorites such as Cinderella, Coppélia, and Firebird.

Dance Ninjas
July 8–12
In this energetic exploration of dance styles, dancers will improve their ninja skills. Throughout the week students will learn to walk with sneaky silence, sprint and pounce like a cat, and create a mysterious “dance of the ninjas.”

Carnival of the Animals
July 22–26
Come on out to the big top! We’ll stage a camp version of Carnival of the Animals, complete with costumes and sets, to perform for family and friends.

Hip Hop
July 1–3 (Sampler) August 5–9
Personal voice and style are at the core of hip hop dance. We will learn various hip hop styles like Breaking and House and develop confidence through the traditions, music, and movement of this dynamic dance form.

Dance Explorers Sampler
August 12–16
We will combine aspects from each Dance Explorers camp to create a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Try out hip hop and musical theater. Be a dance ninja one day and the Ringmaster from Carnival of the Animals the next!
