The dance program at Interlochen offers an encompassing curriculum for the serious student who wishes to study dance in a focused and creative atmosphere. Classes are designed to improve the artistic and technical proficiency of each student while providing a positive environment for the exploration of movement and personal growth.  Classes are taught by an experienced and distinguished professional faculty.

If you or someone you know is interested in attending either of Interlochen’s world-renowned education programs: Interlochen Summer Arts Camp including its advanced dance institute and Interlochen Arts Academy, we hope you can join us for this special audition. Designed for parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, caregivers, dancers, professionals & individuals on ASD spectrum to develop skills and strategies for instruction of Autism Movement Therapy®. Movement & music, connecting left & right hemispheres of the brain for a “whole brain” cognitive re-mapping approach to increase on-task activity, social skills & speech & language skills is explored through sequencing and patterning techniques.

Lecture (1-1:30), movement class (1:45-2:30) & group workshop (2:45-3:45).

Eisenhower Dance Ensemble Auditions

1:30-4:00 p.m.
(registration begins at 1:00 p.m.)

Eisenhower Dance Ensemble is a contemporary repertory dance company based in the Detroit Metropolitan area. EDE boasts a diverse repertory by nationally-known choreographers. Professional-level dancers should have a strong background in modern and ballet technique, along with performance experience. Ability to relocate to the Detroit area and travel is required for Company members. Dancers are generally contracted from late August to June. 35-40 week contract with national touring. Apprentice positions and Summer Intensive acceptance will also be considered during the audition.

Auditionees should be warmed up and ready to learn movement phrases from EDE’s current repertory. Finalists will be interviewed following the audition. Please bring the following to the audition:
