Collaborations

One of the world's most important contemporary dance companies, Hubbard Street is a proud member of the Chicago community and has become an international arts ambassador for the city. Through exciting community partnerships and collaborations with some of Chicago's most respected institutions, Hubbard Street brings dance – and the inspiration, thought and conversation dance evokes – to the neighborhoods of our hometown year-round.

This year, Hubbard Street continues collaborative partnerships with several of Chicago's most significant cultural and community organizations.

    Through this unique collaboration offering beautiful visuals to the concert experience, Hubbard Street Dancers are provided the rare opportunity to present choreography to live music performed by one of the world’s greatest and most treasured orchestras.

    Hubbard Street explores the vital connection between dance and art by producing dance works inspired by the museum’s art exhibits, leading gallery walks, and with information sessions for the public.

    As part of Hubbard Street's vision to push the art of dance forward, the company continually re-imagines the space in which dance is performed in this unique collaboration with Chicago’s own IIT.

    Using dance as a learning platform for collaboration, innovation, leadership and growth, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will support the creation of a vibrant community of early-stage technology companies populating 1871, a newly created tech center in Chicago.




In addition to the collaborations above, Hubbard Street is excited to collaborate with Chicago Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park Arts Center for HSDC's Family Workshops and Dance Explorations series for parents and children.
