  Hubbard Street’s Landmark 35th Anniversary Season launches with a not-to-be-missed Fall Series featuring the worl...MORE Hubbard Street’s Landmark 35th Anniversary Season launches with a not-to-be-missed Fall Series featuring the world premiere of One Thousand Pieces by Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo. The Company’s first full-length work by a single choreographer on a single theme adds the dancers of Hubbard Street 2 and features the music of Philip Glass. Cerrudo’s inspirations for One Thousand Pieces are Marc Chagall’s America Windows, on permanent display at the Art Institute of Chicago. These historic panels of stained glass, created by Chagall especially for the Art Institute and dedicated to Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley, commemorate the American Bicentennial. Light infuses the artist’s landscape of references to the fine arts and local and national icons with an ethereality suggesting the expansive potential of creativity, freedom and liberty in concert.  LESS
