AN EMBARRASSING DANCE MOMENT FROM PABLO:
Once at San Francisco Ballet I was doing the Chinese Dance in the Nutcracker; it was a brand new production, though not my first show. After the dance started and all was going as usual, my brain just stopped working and I found myself jumping in the spot light without knowing what was coming next. Suddenly, the "Dragon" that was supposed to chase me passed me by with the school boys looking at me in awe and wonder. Quickly I realized what I was supposed to be doing and passed the Dragon in a mad dash to get to the finishing steps. Luckily, I managed, and the Chinese Dance was saved, not without of course the snickering and laughter of my friends in the wings.
