Hubbard Street's Dance Education Institute events are for all educators, dance teachers and generalists, as well as teaching artists and pre-service students interested in developing their dance education curricula.
Your students are eager to move! Hubbard Street offers a wide variety of workshop topics for general classroom and dance educators. 2016-17 Dance Education Institute courses are listed below. Courses are offered in rotation at our West Loop facility, specific courses may also be booked for your entire faculty and held at your school.

All courses align with IL SEL, Common Core, and Core Arts standards and offer CPDUs. Hubbard Street is CPS board approved to provide professional development.
The Hubbard Street Dance Education Institute fosters knowledge-sharing for all educators and teaching artists interested in diversifying their dance education curriculum and teaching experience. Courses through the Institute provide opportunities for personal artistic growth, collaboration with peers, and unique experiences with the world class artists of Hubbard Street.

DANCE CLASSES FOR EDUCATORS
Expand your appreciation, understanding and knowledge of dance or awaken a childhood passion by taking a dance class at the Lou Conte Dance Studio at a special discounted rate available to full-time teachers currently working in a school community.
10 Class Card: 20% off, LCDS restrictions apply.
Single class rate: $12 per class
This discount must be reapplied for each year, regardless of previous eligibility. Discount ID cards expire September 1st of each year.
Only full-time, K-12 educators are eligible for this discount. Administrative, support and student services staff are not eligible; nor graduate students, student teachers or university-level faculty and staff. Discount limited to educators working in Illinois’ Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, DuPage and Will counties.
